Are you free tonight? Why not come down to Marks Oval and support our Belmont FC Over 35’s take on one of our more local competitors, Warners Bay. Kickoff is at 6:30pm.
The local battle will no doubt be fierce, it was the last time these two teams met with 7 goals scored in total.
One of Belmont FC’s Life Members, Clint Starrett, forms part of the enemy for the game with him playing for the dark side. Come along, support Belmont FC and give Clint heaps.
We had a chat to Clint this week about the match. He told us that he thinks, “it will be a bit strange, this is the first time I’ve played at Marks Oval for the opposing team”. Clint also told us that he felt Belmont FC was the toughest team that he has played against this season even though the table does not currently reflect that.
Many years ago, Clint was one of the first players awarded the Belmont Soccer Club (as it was named then) 10 Years Continuous Service award as was Luke Richardson who is also a part of the opposing Warners Bay team this evening. (Picture shown is of Clint receiving the award and Luke in the background looking at his)
The grounds have been closed until at least Thursday. Please check the Grounds part of the website for the current status at all times.

Throughout the season there will be games (and in some cases full days of games) in which referees are not supplied by the association, this is where Club Referees are required to step in. By taking on a role as a Club Referee, not only would you be helping your local club out and ensuring that our teams get to play each weekend but you get paid for it as well.
If you are interested in being a Club Referee or would like more information, please contact Jade on 0411 323 159 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
There are still some opportunities for Small Sided Referees. If you are interested in doing this, please contact Jade as listed above.
Take a look at our new outdoor covered viewing area, all ready for the 2018 season.
The Belmont FC Committee 2018 would like to thank previous committee members and volunteers for their hard work and expertise in completing this fantastic addition to the club.
As we wave goodbye to season 2017 and look towards season 2018 we would like to thank those who have volunteered their time throughout the past season.
Richard Watkins in particular deserves a special thank you having been President for the last 5 years. More about Richard can be found HERE. We wish Richard all the best in his future endeavors and hope he still finds the time to drop in at the club to catch up.
A club such as ours can only run when the community dedicates time and effort to make it work. Our family friendly club has a proud history and tradition of helping each other out and this is to continue with the volunteers that have accepted roles on the committee for season 2018.
Belmont FC welcomes our new President, Darren Hughes and Vice President, Graham Nuss as well as welcoming back Kathryn O’Neil as Treasurer and Joanne Green as Secretary and Registrar and thanks them for taking on major roles within the club.
The club is still looking for additional volunteers including someone to take on fundraising. If you would like to help the club out in any way at all, please let us know.
